====== Octan Station ====== **Designer:** Jennifer Heaton **Designed:** July 2013 ===Designer's Notes=== This was loosely modeled on our local service station, Park Service. It's a good example of a case where something unrealistic works well in a build. Part of the difficulty of working at micropolis scale is making various buildings identifiable. How, for instance, do you make a restaurant look like a restaurant? You can't make tables and chairs at micropolis scale. How do you make something look like a corner store? An apartment? A post office? A service station is very unlikely to have a 30 foot long wrench sign above the bays. But in LEGO it works because it makes it absolutely clear what you're looking at. In this build I especially like the tiny tow truck and the car on the lift you can just see through one of the windows.
