-While there are quite a few different gas stations in other Micropolis collections we had yet to have one in our own so Jennifer decided to do a full service station instead of just some pumps and a convenience store. She was particularly proud of making sure to put a car up on a lift in the service bay.

+This was loosely modeled on our local service station, Park Service. Part of the difficulty of working at micropolis scale is making various buildings identifiable. How, for instance, do you make a restaurant look like a restaurant? You can't make tables and chairs at micropolis scale. How do you make something look like a corner store? An apartment? A post office? A school?

+A service station is very unlikely to have a 30 foot long wrench sign above the bays. But in LEGO it works because it makes it absolutely clear what you're looking at. In this build I especially like the tiny tow truck and the car on the lift you can just see through one of the windows.
